Memorial Day Well, to shock the world...I weeded the strawberries today. There were just a few dandelions so it was fairly easy work. A few neighborhood children came over to visit and I ended up giving them some treats. A few minutes later the doorbell rang again and more treats were distributed. About ten minutes later the doorbell rang again and more treats to more children! Well, I 'm about out of treats! It has been rainy all day! It's a great day for a blanket and a movie. Maybe I can talk Warren into that after he feeds the cows and chickens. We have a naughty rooster that he has been put into solitary confinement. It may be death row soon. Unfortunately he has pecked out the eye or eyes of another rooster. That rooster is in sick bay right now to be observed for the damage. The cows are doing fine. We also have one new mommy cat and five kittens that are making a home in the hay stack.
